Inventory Manager


Position Summary:

Responsible for customer order fulfillment, finished goods deployment, product availability and general support of the distribution operations.


Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:


  • Generate and manage transfer orders to maintain proper stock levels required to fulfill sales orders
  • Identify and communicate current and future product requirements to the production
  • Proactively identify constraints and propose solutions
  • Interface with customer service team to insure timely order management and issue resolution
  • Provide direction to operations and customer service on logical order fulfillment options
  • Provide analytical support to the operations team for slotting, storage, and other projects as required
  • Manage and publish required reporting documents, spreadsheets or processes
  • Work with S&OP on SLOB, days-on-hand, and forecast variations impacting service
  • Analyze sales and shipment data daily, reporting on order completion and future volume for operational planning purposes
  • Manages inventory tracking system to record deliveries, shipments and stock levels.
  • Evaluates deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
  • Analyzes daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages.
  • Monitors demand and analyzes data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
  • Reports on inventory levels, supply chain progress, procedural efficiency and personnel issues to upper management.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Oversees team of inventory and transportation planners
    Candidate Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Logistics or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years in a manufacturing and/or distribution environment
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Aptitude for solving problems and driving process improvements
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • SAP experience a plus
