The Sr Manager, IT Vendor Strategy and Economics will lead a team within the Office of the Chief Information and Product Officer (CIPO) O-CIPO is a centralized group of functions whose primary mission is to position the P&T organization to deliver world-class customer experiences by amplifying a common vision & strategy which produce exceptional outcomes through our focus on simplicity, scale and value for customers, employees, and shareholders. The Vendor Strategy and Economics team is staffed with skilled specialists whose passion for technology and financial savvy steer P&T to aligned outcomes that scale.

Successful leaders will have a track record of building strong relationships - a collaboration with all Domains within P&T as well as with external groups like Procurement and Finance will be crucial. This role and their team will lead these stakeholders to develop multi-year strategies to achieve increasing value from software and labor vendors. As those are put into motion, the team will also assure ongoing management of the vendor portfolio to improve performance, drive cost reductions and mitigate risk exposure to partner vulnerabilities. Last but not least, the team is accountable for management of P&T investment funds and special initiatives as required.


Responsibilities
? First responsibility is as a leader and coach to the Vendor Strategy and Economics Team - be their advocate, invest in their growth, and look for every opportunity to empower and assure their success!
? Works with business owners and finance to accurately reflect costs in forecasts and budgets for entire portfolio.
? Manages multiple special projects to develop Team's best practices/infrastructure.
? Handles complex initiatives and issues. Acts as a change agent, initiating appropriate changes to reduce
operational costs, and/or improve service levels.
? Develops, recommends, and/or implements strategic initiatives associated with improving practices, scale and/or reduced costs.
? Develops strategic roadmaps for P&T software and labor vendors that support architectural roadmaps across all domains balancing standardization, costs, and flexibility.
* Conduct ongoing research in partnership with P&T Domains on cutting edge vendors and build plans that will balance the onboarding of new partners against the retirement of legacy with all operational, architectural and financial impacts considered.
? Creates communications for a leadership audience
? Creates clear and measurable goals. Holds self, team, vendors, IT and Procurement business
accountable.
? Works closely alongside teams in IT Business, FP&A and Procurement to find opportunities to maximize
value within annual IT spend.
Leverages teams to schedule Executive Business Review (EBR), Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
with an aim to hold vendors accountable and inform IT Business owners.
? Designs Vendor Contract technical requirements templates. Instructs the team to develop them.
? Oversees data research and analysis (industry, technology, requirement analysis, supplier market
research and monitoring).
? Ensures consistency across IT with regards to how we engage our vendor partners.
? Conducts independent analysis and follow domain specific technology trends to become an expert in
some of the overall 10 domains that TMUS IT is moving to.
? Directs Vendor Business Reviews, tracks action plans, and creates CIO briefing documents. May
participate in CIO briefing.
? Reviews and enforces technical terms and conditions governing T-Mobile relationships.
? Sets performance direction which translates broader initiatives into clear team objectives and concrete
goals that align with other groups for efficient, coordinated action.
? Monitors overall portfolio progress and results; gives feedback effectively to vendor and makes tough
decisions when appropriate.
? Creates and manages key metrics (e.g. Service Level Agreements, Operating Level Agreements) and
Policies.
? Directs the lifecycle activities for existing contracts. Manages contract renewal, audit review and
change management process.
? Identifies new technology solutions and works closely with internal business partners to forecast future
needs and to develop cost effective strategies aligned with business objectives."
"Bachelors Degree in relevant field, or equivalent work experience required.



Qualifications
7+ years' related experience within a technical field.
3+ years' management, team lead, or other equivalent leadership experience."
Experience leading and developing teams of people encouraging high levels of employee engagement through empowerment and accountability for business outcomes
Experience managing Business Requirements, Project Plans, Project Schedules and associated project
materials.
Experience identifying industry leaders and executing in partnership with diverse stakeholders: RFP, SOW, and negotiation strategies for multi-year enterprise-grade agreements that have performance incentives that align vendors to perform to optimal business outcomes with appropriate cost structures.
Experience establishing performance review cycles with business units or vendors/partners and associated stakeholders to drive accountability, surface issues, identify risks and elevate performance.
Ability to think abstractly, consider orthogonal impacts and connect as part of broader strategic plan
Must have a background in a technical role with an understanding of technology landscape and ecosystem of providers of IT services and software is a must
Proven analytical skill and ability is essential. Experience with data analytics tools (excel, SQL,
Tableau).
Experience in developing and tracking accurate spending forecasts and identifying cost saving opportunities and providing the associated rationale.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, able to clearly and concisely communicate
information at multiple levels, adapting content to different audiences.
Ability to assess the impact of new process or policy requirements on existing complex processes
Strong business and technical writing skills producing clear and unambiguous deliverables to all levels
of the organization.
Dynamic ability to resolve complex issues in an environment of rapid change positively and professionally.
Strong organizational and time management skills; ability to balance and effectively prioritize a large set of diverse vendors simultaneously.
Experienced and highly competent with productivy software such as the Microsoft Office suite
