As an Inside Sales Account Manager, you will:

  • Operate in one of our global shared centers within an established Sales Team
  • Be assigned to a specific line of business and own an established customer deck made up of a wide range of major manufacturing segments.
  • Execute sales calls via all forms of electronic communication including telephone, WebEx, or video chat to increase profitable sales growth and territory penetration.
  • Establish and develop customer relationships by evaluating needs and opportunities within customer accounts and negotiate effectively to overcome obstacles and gain customer commitment.
  • Develop business plans to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, competitive activities, and other general information of interest to customers.
  • Collaborate with other sales team members (inside and field based) to share best practices and drive account growth.
  • Document all account activity in the CRM system (

Qualifications Required for Consideration:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but a proven track record in sales is equally important
  • 2+ years of sales experience with a record of performance
  • Ability to manage assigned accounts and strategically plan
  • Ability to manage time and resources effectively in order to achieve goals
  • Strong business acumen, and the ability to develop a basic understanding of the business relationship between manufacturers, distributors, and end-users of chemical products and services upon completion of training
  • Well-honed listening skills and a problem-solving attitude to uncover needs and motivations to overcome objections in order to close a sale
  • Effective negotiation skills that allow Univar Solutions to realize appropriate value for products, rather than resorting to price-based selling
  • Solid communication skills (written, verbal, listening, presentation)
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint as well as CRM platforms such as
