Consultant Physician General Medicine – Albany Health Campus
Join a highly skilled team in the Albany Health Campus offering broad general and acute care medicine services in the Great Southern region.
About the Role
The Consultant Physician will lead and manage high‑quality inpatient and outpatient services, including:
- Inpatient team management on a block roster
- Home Hospital team overseeing patients managed in their homes
- General Medicine outpatient clinics with referrals from hospital and community services
- Consultation‑liaison service providing perioperative advice
- Rapid‑access outpatient clinics to facilitate hospital avoidance (HomeSafe)
- Leadership of senior and junior medical staff, supervision, mentoring and education
- Participation in clinical quality and safety improvement initiatives and innovation projects
- Roster management, on‑call duties and weekend coverage as required
Qualifications
- Active registration with the Medical Board of Australia
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP) for General Medicine, or eligibility for Fellowship
- Substantial clinical experience relevant to general and acute care medicine
