Engineering Quality Auditor

Regional Express is currently seeking applications for a suitably qualified and highly motivated person for the full-time position of Engineering Quality Auditor. Preferred location: Mascot, NSW, however, Wagga Wagga may be considered for an experienced candidate.

Reporting:

This position reports to the Engineering Quality and Safety Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct audits relating to Rex Group Maintenance, Engineering and Airworthiness Management activities in accordance with associated procedures.
  • Contribute to the management and scheduling of the audit program.
  • Assist in the management of findings: distribution, reporting and tracking actions.
  • Perform general administrative duties associated with the Quality Management System (QMS) to facilitate continuous improvement and to ensure regulatory compliance obligations are met.
  • Undertake investigations related to safety, quality, and compliance matters.
  • Support the Quality and Safety Teams in developing and delivering regulatory, safety or compliance-based training.
  • Ensure comprehensive document management for compliance and quality assurance records.
  • Contribute to the effective management of change including the production of risk assessments.
  • Providing Engineering Quality support to other Rex Group entities consistent with applicable internal agreements and/or memorandums of understanding.
  • Other duties as requested by your manager/s. While this role is primarily involved with Engineering Quality and Compliance, it will also support broader Rex Group Quality and Safety initiatives / activities.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in aviation - Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (preferred) or flight operations. Other technical experience will be considered.
  • Experience and/or qualifications as a Lead Auditor (desirable) or willingness to obtain.
  • Have the ability to research, interpret and assess compliance against a range of legislation, policies and company procedures.
  • Good level of both written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to facilitate the effective dissemination of information.
  • Well-developed IT skills (particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with an ability to confidently engage and liaise with a range of stakeholders from across the Organisation.
  • Strong analytical and report writing skills with an ability to provide well researched recommendations.
  • Ability to work either independently or as part of a team.
