Role Summary
Civeo Australia are looking for highly experienced FIFO Head Chefs to work closely with the Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food to our Villages across WA. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation for the village. This is a fly-in-fly-out role (FIFO) departing from Perth on 8:6 rosters.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation for the village.
- Work closely with Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food.
- Supervise and manage a team of chefs (at least 3+ years experience).
- Order, store, prepare and deliver food service.
- Implement and monitor profit and wastage reporting.
- Provide client relationship management and support.
Qualifications
- 5+ years cumulative chef experience, preferably working in a large hotel or remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO) with at least 3+ years supervising and managing a team of chefs.
- Experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service.
- Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment.
- Ordering, profit and wastage reporting.
- Client relationship management and support.
- Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate.
- Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment.
- Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Applied knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance requirements.
- Intermediate skills with regards to Microsoft Office applications.
- Budgetary and analytical skills.
- Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage.
- Valid Class C driver’s licence.
