Role Summary

Civeo Australia are looking for highly experienced FIFO Head Chefs to work closely with the Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food to our Villages across WA. The primary focus of the role is to ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation for the village. This is a fly-in-fly-out role (FIFO) departing from Perth on 8:6 rosters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure a smooth and profitable kitchen operation for the village.
  • Work closely with Village & Catering Managers to deliver exceptional food.
  • Supervise and manage a team of chefs (at least 3+ years experience).
  • Order, store, prepare and deliver food service.
  • Implement and monitor profit and wastage reporting.
  • Provide client relationship management and support.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years cumulative chef experience, preferably working in a large hotel or remote village environment (FIFO or DIDO) with at least 3+ years supervising and managing a team of chefs.
  • Experience with ordering, storing, preparing and delivering food service.
  • Strong experience in a bulk/batch cooking environment.
  • Ordering, profit and wastage reporting.
  • Client relationship management and support.
  • Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery or Trade certificate.
  • Applied knowledge of HACCP principles in a bulk cooking environment.
  • Ability to create service schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Applied knowledge of workplace safety systems and compliance requirements.
  • Intermediate skills with regards to Microsoft Office applications.
  • Budgetary and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of relevant kitchen chemicals, including their application and storage.
  • Valid Class C driver’s licence.
