Team Leader For Parwan MHNT Responsibilities

  • Work in collaboration with the mobile team members and lead the activities,
  • Provide Primary health care services including triage, first aid and control of essential communicable & non-communicable diseases,
  • Assess the psychological status and provide psychological treatment, and refer complicated cases to the related or near Hospitals.
  • Work in collaboration with the nurses and midwifes, Vaccinators, Psycho Social work to ensure quality medical care provision,
  • Complete and properly fill the individual card with the medical information
  • Raise regular supply request to line manager and ensure securing of mobile team supplies including therapeutic food and drugs
  • Refer the complicated cases to higher level of services and follow-up of referred cases
  • Develop/follow up mobile health team monthly action plan
  • Provide required technical support and on the job training for the team
  • Clinical examination of all patients with signs of complicated pathologies or presenting complication or referrals from the nurse.
  • Prescribe routine and basic treatments according the protocol used in respecting the drug dosage based on the weight of the patient
  • Adapt and change of medical treatment as required.
  • Ensure health facility and community health posts are functional, open in official days and provide health and nutrition services to the clients and needed community.
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of the Health Team under you, fostering teamwork and encouraging regular dialogue through meetings to discuss general activities and challenges.
  • He/she should be part of health facility staff, must be available in the health facility during official days, except assigned for any official work from supervisor/management.
  • Ensure health shura is established in the health facility, must be part of shura monthly meetings and share main points with management, if required actions.
  • He/she should establish strong two-way relation with influential community leaders, through regular meetings, reach their health needs and explain the level of health nutrition services available in the health facility and health posts.
  • Participate in health and nutrition relevant trainings and workshops, when needed.
  • Attend all relevant meetings/workshops requested by supervisor.
  • Regularly work with pharmacy, prepare drug consumption reports, drug requests and reports, and submit to pharmacist on time.
  • Must ensure drug supply at the MHNT, strictly follow up and monitor consumption data and rational use to avoid stock out.
  • Ensure all reports are regularly collected, verified, checked for completeness and accuracy, and timely submitted relevant departments.
  • Provide regularly relevant progress reports to the line Manager, providing daily/weekly updates on the activities at the center and highlighting challenges and solutions.
  • Ensure quality and on-time submission of HMIS reports to provincial management team.
  • Perform any other task not here listed and necessary for the implementation of the project activities or the mission program as requested by the reporting malnutrition children on time according MOPH, WYFAO and partner rules and regulation.
  • Recording vital sign of all vital sign of all patients.
  • Reporting & reaching outbreaks in assigned area.

Job Requirements

  • MD
  • Minimum 3 years professional experience in the health sector (i.e., as health supervisor, doctor).
  • Good communication skills (written and spoken) of Dari, Pashto and preferable in English
  • Demonstrated skills in health project management and ability to work effectively as part leading role team leader.
  • Treatment to target area according the plan.
  • Ability to support provincial team and provide/receive productive feedback
  • Knowledge of planning/organizing/communication skills
  • Good writing skills and computer literacy.
