The Carle BroMenn Cath Lab performs many exciting and innovative procedures including but not limited to: diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, electrophysiology, peripheral vascular, neuro interventional, and interventional radiology procedures. The Cath/IR RT produces quality imaging and assists the Interventionalist in performing invasive procedures; as well as technical hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation using automated techniques. Registered in Radiography (R) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography - Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA)
Administers contrast material (when applicable), according to physician‘s request, by means of existing IV line or by performing venipuncture and placing IV line; Assists with inventory/supplies.Compiles pertinent clinical information pertaining to lab, pathology, etc.Documents accurately and completely.Performs all essential functions of the Invasive Lab Radiologic Technologist.Performs on call duties and/or work variable shifts as assigned to meet department needs.Demonstrates competence in the operation of imaging, physiological monitoring, and related equipment; Performs basic troubleshooting for this equipment.Able to work around and maintain a sterile field during procedures.
