Memorial Health, a leading healthcare provider in Savannah, Georgia, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Operating Room to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. As an integral member of our perioperative department, you will provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to surgical patients before, during, and after operative procedures. You will collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical technologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a seamless surgical experience. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing the operating room, verifying patient identity and surgical site, reviewing consents, and ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and functioning properly. You will serve as a circulating or scrub nurse, maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols, perform accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments, and document all aspects of care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. You will monitor patients’ physiological status, respond quickly to changes in condition, administer medications as ordered, and advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the perioperative process. The Registered Nurse Operating Room at Memorial Health contributes to continuous quality improvement by participating in performance improvement initiatives, following evidence-based clinical pathways, and supporting the implementation of new technologies and best practices.
