Qualifications / Job Requirements
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or compact state eligibility
Minimum 1 year of recent med/surg telemetry clinical experience (Med/Surg Tele RN or Telemetry Nurse experience)
BLS certification required; ACLS or Telemetry certification preferred
Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts in a fast-paced hospital setting
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills for interdisciplinary care
Prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation preferred
Responsibilities
Provide high-quality direct patient care to adult patients on the Med/Surg Telemetry unit
Continuously monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to arrhythmias and changes in patient status
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered; perform nursing procedures per protocol
Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team
Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the EMR
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions to support safe transitions of care
