Description

Cone Health, a not-for-profit health care network serving the Piedmont Triad region of North Carolina, is seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, high-quality anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical, obstetric, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures in collaboration with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other members of the perioperative team. You will conduct comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments, develop individualized anesthesia plans, administer all forms of anesthesia and analgesia, monitor patients’ physiologic status throughout procedures, and oversee post-anesthesia recovery and pain management. The CRNA will manage airway and hemodynamic stability, respond promptly to changes in patient condition, and follow evidence-based protocols, policies, and clinical pathways to optimize outcomes.

Working within Cone Health’s collaborative and compassionate culture, you will contribute to a positive, team-based environment that emphasizes patient safety, quality of care, and respect for diversity and inclusivity. Responsibilities include participating in preoperative patient education, obtaining informed consent within the collaborative practice model, documenting care accurately in the electronic medical record, and communicating clearly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff. You will assist in emergency airway management and resuscitation as needed across perioperative and procedural areas, and support enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) and other quality initiatives that advance innovative, patient-centered anesthesia practice.

The CRNA will also engage in continuous professional development by maintaining required certifications, participating in morbidity and mortality reviews and quality improvement activities, and integrating the latest clinical research and guidelines into daily practice. Cone Health offers a dynamic healthcare environment that values clinical excellence, interprofessional collaboration, and community-focused care. You will have opportunities to precept students, share clinical expertise with peers, and contribute to process improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, and patient satisfaction. This position is well-suited for a CRNA who is committed to delivering compassionate, evidence-based care, thrives in a fast-paced setting with a broad case mix, and seeks a supportive workplace that invests in long-term career growth and development.
