What are we looking for?
Our Abuse team is growing, and we are now seeking an Early Career Lawyer to joinour Melbourne team. This is a full time, permanent role.You will be working with one of our most experienced and respectedpractice groups nationally which will see you managing your own files. We arealso open to discussions regarding flexible work.
Our Abuse Law team advance civil claims on behalf of our clients who have been abused as children in schools, juvenile detention facilities, and in other institutional settings.
In addition to takingon a wide range of challenging legal matters, this role will also see youmanage and strengthen existing community relationships along with initiatingand building new networks. Your responsibilities will include:
- Instrumental inmanaging a practice
- Continually exploringnew opportunities for your practice and developing new business
- Maintaining strongclient relationships
- Exceptionalnegotiation skills and an ability to communicate effectively
- Demonstrated skills ineffective network and relationship management
- Ability to exercisejudgement andresolve problems expeditiously
What will you bring?

- A keen interest in personalinjury law and e xposure to a plaintiff personalinjury practice (highly desirable)

- A calm and easy-goingnature
- Ability to workautonomously as well as part of a team
- Ability to handlesensitive issues and challenging clients

- Demonstrated skills ineffective network and relationship management
- Available to work 38 hours perweek, between the hours of 8:30am – 5pm Monday to Friday.
