This rapidly expanding company with a nationwide presence is a provider of a variety of services, including consultancy, environmental, asbestos and occupational hygiene across the country. They are now looking to recruit a competent and enthusiastic Occupational Hygienist based in and around the Northampton region. Applications from Banbury, Kettering, Corby, Milton Keynes, and the surrounding areas will be considered. This role will require a certain degree of nationwide travel.
Qualifications & Experience
- Good educational qualifications and one or more Science Degree(s).
- Previous experience in Occupational Hygiene and hold BIOH/IOA or equivalent qualifications.
- Holding the qualification in general Health & Safety (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate) would be beneficial.
- A good working knowledge of the relevant disciplines involved.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Well versed with Health & Safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Working within a mix of commercial/Industrial sectors.
- Undertake a broad range of occupational hygiene related projects such as workplace assessments – air monitoring, COSHH assessments, noise, fumes, dust and hand‑arm vibration surveys, local exhaust ventilation (LEV) examination, testing and indoor air quality.
- Liaise with the company’s high profile clients on a regular basis.
- Manage projects and contracts effectively and within the specified times given.
- Conduct emissions testing.
- Perform site assessments.
