Summary
Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Anesthesiologist to work PRN providing anesthesia for a variety of oncologic surgeries. No call, pediatric, obstetric, trauma, or cardiac cases. Shifts are typically 10 hours and the anesthesiologist directly supervises CRNAs or AAs in a 1:3 ratio. An opportunity to participate in Interventional Pain either in the clinic or procedure suite may be available. Our Center has 24 state‑of‑the‑art anesthetizing sites, a new outpatient center, and a chronic and interventional pain clinic.
Experience and Education
Experience in the practice of Anesthesiology is required. Candidates must have an interest in patient care, teaching, and research. Successful applicants must have an M.D. degree, be board certified in Anesthesiology, and be eligible for licensure in the State of Florida. Preference is given to academic experience in a newly formed multidisciplinary environment.
Role Overview
As a PRN Anesthesiologist of the Moffitt Medical Group (MMG), the incumbent undertakes clinical related activity, including the provision of coverages in the assigned department on an "as needed" basis at H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center and Research Institute Hospital. The position is 100% clinical and practices medicine within the scope of authority and privileges granted by Moffitt Cancer Center. The role provides patient care under the auspices of Moffitt Medical Group and serves as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position may span the clinical and research enterprise, supporting patient care, research, and education. The incumbent must comply fully with MMG policies and procedures and the Hospital's Medical Staff Bylaws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
