Part Time Hospitalist – UNC Health Johnston, Smithfield, NC
UNC Health Johnston is looking for a BC/BE hospitalist to join the Hospital Medicine program in Smithfield and Clayton, NC. This role includes delivering high‑quality, team‑based patient care with benefits such as quality bonus, CME, retirement plan, and malpractice coverage.
Schedule
7 am–7 pm (2–3 shifts biweekly)

Requirements & Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy school.
- Internal Medicine residency preferred.
- Board‑certified (BC/BE) in Internal Medicine or a new trainee welcomed.
- Board Certified Internal Medicine.
- Medical license in North Carolina, DEA license.
- BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
Professional Experience
- Prior hospitalist experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Proficient English communication.
- High‑level quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills.
Physical Demands
Must sit regularly and use hands; occasionally required to stand, walk, kneel, bend, and reach. Requires close vision and ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
Medical office setting. Expected noise level moderate. Reasonable accommodations provided for disabilities.
