Marketing Executive – Brand & Retail Marketing

Merchantwise is a brand management agency representing some of the world’s most recognisable entertainment and consumer brands across gaming, film & TV, music and children’s publishing.

Our portfolio includes partners such as Netflix, Hasbro, Minecraft, Sonic the Hedgehog, Angry Birds, Sony Pictures, Elf on the Shelf, May Gibbs, The Gruffalo and more.

We’re looking for a Marketing Executive with around 2–3 years’ experience who enjoys building brands, working across retail and digital channels, and seeing campaigns through from idea to execution.

This role sits within the Marketing team and reports to the Marketing Director.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll support marketing activity across a portfolio of licensed brands, including:

  • Coordinating marketing campaigns and retail activations
  • Supporting marketing budgets and tracking spend alongside the Marketing Director
  • Managing creative approvals to ensure work meets brand guidelines
  • Working with creative and advertising agencies from brief to delivery
  • Building relationships with retail partners and licensees
  • Supporting digital activity including paid media, influencers, PR and social content
  • Assisting with press releases and media enquiries
  • Managing Merchantwise-owned content across social, website and eDM
  • Supporting trade events and brand showcases
  • Analysing campaign performance and preparing reports

What we’re looking for

You don’t need to tick every box — but you should bring:

  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • The ability to manage multiple projects without losing track of details
  • Experience contributing to marketing campaigns or strategy
  • An interest in retail, gaming, entertainment and consumer brands
  • Confidence working with brand guidelines and approvals
  • Hands-on experience with social media
  • Comfort interpreting campaign results

About you

You’ll likely have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing (or related discipline)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in brand, retail or consumer marketing
  • Good judgement and a practical mindset
  • Curiosity and a willingness to learn

  • Hybrid role — currently two days per week in the office (usually Tuesdays & Thursdays)
