The Role

This is a senior accounts role for someone who can both sell and lead. As Head of Sales, you will initially sell directly while building the foundations of a scalable sales function. Over time, your focus will shift from personal deal making to team performance and predictable revenue. You will work closely with the Founder and will be accountable for sales outcomes & activity.

Responsibility and Decision Ownership

  • You will be responsible for managing day to day sales operations.
  • You may make pricing and deal structure recommendations within agreed commercial boundaries.
  • You may recommend hiring and team structure changes, with final approval resting with the Founder.

This role requires judgement, responsibility, and ownership.

What You Will Do

  • Own new revenue growth for Ecompapi.
  • Personally sell and close deals in the early phase of the role.
  • Manage inbound opportunities and create outbound partnerships.
  • Clearly and honestly position Ecompapi’s design, marketing, and development services.
  • Build and refine the sales process from first contact to close.
  • Set clear targets and standards for sales performance.
  • Hire, train, and lead sales team members once performance justifies growth.
  • Forecast revenue and report progress clearly and accurately.
  • Work closely with delivery and leadership teams to ensure smooth handovers, realistic scopes, and aligned expectations.
  • Take responsibility for the quality, fit, and sustainability of clients brought into the business, not just revenue volume.

Revenue Accountability

  • Year one responsibility typically ranges from AUD 800,000 to 1,000,000,
  • Targets are measured on total new revenue and reviewed quarterly with the Founder.
  • Revenue may be achieved through a mix of personal sales and team contribution.
  • Priority is given to opportunities that align with Ecompapi’s strongest case studies and delivery strengths.

In the first 90 days, you are expected to:

  • Fully understand Ecompapi’s services, pricing logic, and ideal client profile.
  • Personally close new revenue equivalent to minimum 120k.
  • Demonstrate a clear and repeatable sales approach.
  • Identify gaps in the current sales process and present practical improvements.

These expectations are non-negotiable and are used to validate role fit early.

What We Are Looking For

  • Minimum 4 to 6 years experience in B2B sales or agency environments.
  • Proven ability to close high value digital services.
  • Working understanding of design, marketing, and development offerings.
  • Comfortable owning revenue targets and commercial outcomes.
  • Strong communication and commercial judgement.
  • Leadership mindset with the ability to coach and set standards.
  • Calm, structured, and accountable.

Performance Accountability

This role is outcome driven.

Sustained underperformance against agreed targets will be reviewed transparently and decisively.

Compensation Structure

AUD 100,000 to 130,000 plus super

Percentage on total revenue closed

No cap

Team override commission

Once the team is established, an override is paid on total revenue, which is tied to collective performance KPI’s and target reached. Paid quarterly

Retention commission

1 percent on revenue retained beyond 3 months for accounts you originated

Yearly performance bonus

Retention Incentive and Yearly performance bonus structure
