Role Overview

Role Overview The Insurance Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing and coordinating building and construction projects across insurance, NDIS, restoration, and care-related service streams. This position ensures projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction, while supporting and mentoring Site Supervisors and trade partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end repair and construction process for all projects within your portfolio
  • Establish, manage, and oversee major and complex loss construction projects from inception to completion
  • Work across all project phases and scopes in line with business requirements
  • Ensure all works meet required construction standards and approved methodologies
  • Review projects to estimate costs, develop schedules, and ensure profitable margins
  • Proactively plan to prevent issues, resolve emerging challenges, and ensure timely delivery aligned with client expectations
  • Prepare SWMS and Site Safety Plans for all projects
  • Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and on-site team meetings

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Deliver a high level of customer service throughout the project lifecycle
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships within the insurance and complex loss market
  • Negotiate terms of agreement, prepare contracts, and secure required permits and licences
  • Prepare and deliver internal and external project reports
  • Maintain consistent communication with clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Trade qualification in Building or Construction
  • White Card and current Police Check
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the insurance or restoration construction industry
  • Full, valid driver’s licence
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, insurance works, and project delivery
  • High level of client care, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and construction management systems (e.g. Prime)
  • Excellent attention to detail, time management, and problem-solving skills
