You will guide the annual strategy cycle, shape commercial priorities, and ensure complex initiatives are clearly defined, well-governed, and executed with discipline. The role also carries accountability for leading M&A assessments and due diligence, requiring strong commercial judgement and comfort working directly with senior executives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drive and embed strategy, delivery, and change frameworks across all business functions.
  • Challenge assumptions, test commercial viability, and elevate strategic thinking across the organisation.
  • Provide rigorous commercial insights through financial modelling, business case development, and strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee governance, prioritisation, and delivery of cross-functional programs and initiatives.
  • Bring clarity and structure to complex environments with multiple competing priorities.
  • Review existing workstreams to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and effective execution.
  • Lead M&A assessments including target identification, strategic fit analysis, commercial evaluation, and due diligence.
  • Influence senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment, challenge, and strategic discipline at executive level.
  • Support organisation-wide change and adoption in partnership with People & Culture.
  • Build strategy, delivery, and change maturity across teams through uplift, coaching, and structured frameworks.
  • Oversee pilot programs and innovation trials, ensuring commercial outcomes and effective integration into the core business.

Skills, Experience, and Attributes:

  • 10+ years’ experience across strategy, transformation, delivery, or enterprise-level change.
  • Strong commercial acumen including financial modelling, commercial analysis, and evaluation of investment decisions.
  • M&A experience essential, with exposure to due diligence, valuation considerations, and integration planning.
  • Background in consulting, corporate strategy, financial services, or other complex, capital-intensive environments.
  • Experience within fleet management, asset leasing, or novated leasing highly beneficial due to the commercial, operational, and regulatory dynamics of the sector.
  • Ability to influence senior executives and drive organisation-wide alignment.
  • Skilled at leading cross-functional teams and uplifting strategy, delivery, and change capability.
  • Strong structured problem-solving, analytical capability, and clarity in communication.
  • Ability to move seamlessly between strategic thinking, hands‑on delivery, and change leadership.
  • Confident facilitating workshops, driving engagement, and challenging thinking to develop new ideas and strategic directions.
  • Calm, methodical leadership style capable of bringing order and discipline to a fast‑moving and evolving environment.
  • Experience with new product development, commercial pilots, or innovation programs advantageous.
