Head of Technology Delivery / Transformation
Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to over 1.5 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia’s largest committed renewable energy project, delivering on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
About the position: The Head of Technology Delivery / Transformation is a new key leadership role, responsible for driving significant business outcomes and growth through the identification, resourcing and implementation of technology solutions that achieve Snowy Hydro’s business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building a strong, high‑performing delivery team
- Develop business cases for new technology implementation
- Build strong relationships with other business leaders, key vendors and stakeholders
- Design and implement a clear, actionable technology roadmap
- Lead the selection and deployment of innovative solutions
- Oversee technology‑led organisational change
About the location: This position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
About you:
- Extensive experience managing complex digital systems and infrastructure
- Strong communication skills, both in person and presenting to groups
- Proven experience in managing and mentoring multi‑functional teams
- A demonstrated ability to develop and implement security strategies
- An ability to influence at all levels
- The ability to understand and articulate the connection between business strategy and operational requirements
