SUMMARY Perform duties associated with distributing and recovering equipment throughout the clinical units within the Medical Center.  Ensure appropriate tracking and cleaning of equipment following established protocols.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.  Fulfill requests for medical equipment for all nursing units within the Medical Center.  Ensure appropriate equipment is delivered so that medical staff can give patients’ meds/treatments within required timeframes.

 

2.   Recover equipment via rounding and on demand request.

 

3.  Maintain, clean, and decontaminate equipment (i.e., IV pumps, infusion pumps, etc.) according to training and regulations.

 

4.  Identify, document and report equipment issues (i.e., not functioning properly) to the appropriate source.

 

5.  Perform basic activities relating to receiving, sorting and restocking medical supplies.

Education and/or Experience                                                              

> High school diploma or GED

> Completion of 1 month of on-the-job training  

 

PREFERRED: 3 months experience in a hospital environment transporting equipment, delivering supplies, or related duties
