Secretary Parking Utility

Summary:
The Secretary performs clerical work requiring strong computer skills; prepares time and attendance records; answers phones and emails; greets visitors; processes purchase orders; performs financial recordkeeping and reconciliation; issues permits; performs related duties as required. Work is performed under general direction from the Superintendent of Parking who reviews performance for conformance to departmental policies and procedures. Duties:
Uses Park Mobile/IPS software to issue permits and information blasts, process permit registrations, meter issues and revenues. Prepares time, attendance and payroll records on a weekly basis; greets and assists parking customers; answers phones and responds to emails; maintains records, files, and reports; collects fees, makes reconciliations and performs financial recordkeeping; processes purchase orders, maintains inventory and orders office supplies; creates flyers and literature for parking customers. Performs related miscellaneous clerical work and assists Supervisor of Parking Enforcement as needed. Requirements:
High School graduate or equivalent. Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of degree. Two (2) years of administrative experience in a business or government agency. Thorough knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Successful candidate will be highly organized, possess strong computer skills and excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
