Purpose and Scope:


The Supply Chain Analyst focuses the necessary analysis, intervention and coordination required to ensure 100% on-time delivery to customer promise. This is done by ensuring adequate supply of components are available for manufacturing operations to produce the finish goods while meeting inventory targets.

This position performs ordering/logistics functions with suppliers for processing purchase orders. Monitor on-hand inventory levels with SAP to ensure the target inventory levels are met. Daily contact with customer service and suppliers to ensure delivers are made on time and production schedule is being met. Participate in planning to ensure proper scheduling of new product line phase-ins as well as existing product line phase-outs. Communicate to Supervisor/Manager and Corporate Commodity Manager, the status of material availability and potential production issues to ensure that personnel, materials and services are provided as needed.



  • Manage daily customer demand and accurately maintain SAP system. Contact suppliers concerning product status and expected delivery dates to meet customer demand.
  • Conduct analysis to determine impact of change in customer demand and the impact to the supply schedule
  • Determine, communicate, and coordinate supply expedite status to customer service and schedulers.
  • Coordinates with customer service and scheduling in SAP using lean principles necessary to meeting customer demand on-time to promise and schedule accomplishment. Includes intervention and coordination efforts such a utilizing SAP tools in material availability.
  • Conduct analysis to determine root causes of late supplier deliveries to plant and corrective actions to improve meeting schedule accomplishment. Accurately maintain systems to analyze past due from suppliers. Work closely with customer service and scheduling to initiate proactive steps to prevent late deliveries to promise.
  • Meet established Supply Chain KPI targets. Monitor finished goods inventory and raw material inventory to ensure target inventory levels are met.

  • Ability to quickly learn new computer systems/applications.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain/Business
