Home Care Employee – Companion — Sydney Lower North Shore
The Cleaner / Domestic Support Worker provides high-quality domestic cleaning and household support for people with disability, enabling them to live in a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment. Services are delivered in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards and Right at Home values.
Covering the Lower North shore: Chatswood, Artarmon, Neutral Bay, Mosman, Manly and many more locations.
Qualifications
Domestic Cleaning & Household Support
General household cleaning including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and bathroom cleaning
Kitchen cleaning including benches, appliances, and dishes
Laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and ironing
Rubbish removal and maintaining a tidy living environment
Safe Work Practices
Use cleaning products and equipment safely and correctly
Follow infection control and hygiene procedures
Identify and report hazards or maintenance issues
Respect participant preferences, routines, and privacy
NDIS & Compliance
Deliver services in line with participant support plans
Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
Report concerns regarding participant safety or wellbeing
Complete basic documentation as required
Preferred Skills
- Experience in domestic cleaning or household support (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- National Police Check
- Right to work in Australia
- NSW driver’s licence and reliable vehicle (preferred)
- Reliable, punctual, and well-organised
- Respectful and professional manner
- Ability to work independently
- Attention to detail and pride in work
- Understanding of working in private homes and respecting dignity
