Full‑Stack Engineer (Web3 / FinTech)

Summary – As a Full‑Stack Engineer, you will build the user‑facing layer of Deel’s next‑generation financial infrastructure – powering payroll, treasury, compliance, and global payments at scale. You’ll transform complex financial logic into elegant, performant, and intuitive interfaces used by hundreds of thousands of customers worldwide. You’ll work with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver responsive, secure, and visually polished applications that provide a flawless white‑glove experience. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore emerging technologies such as blockchain‑based settlement and crypto‑powered payroll.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a cross‑functional squad of Backend Engineers, Product Managers, Designers, and QA to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Participate in the complete product lifecycle, from discovery and planning to development, testing, deployment, and iteration.
  • Build and maintain complex features and UI components, ensuring scalability, accessibility, performance, and delightful UX.
  • Collaborate on API design, state management architecture, and frontend‑backend integration for high‑volume financial flows.
  • Identify, diagnose, and resolve bugs quickly to uphold Deel’s fast‑paced development expectations (“DeelSpeed”).
  • Ensure visual and interaction consistency across all front‑end surfaces, including dashboards, financial operations tools, and mission‑critical workflows.
  • Influence technical decisions, contribute to architectural discussions, and champion best practices in modern frontend and backend engineering.

Optional

  • Participate in experiments or internal tooling involving crypto payroll flows, decentralized identity, cryptographic verification, or wallet interactions.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience building production‑grade applications.
  • Deep expertise with TypeScript and React (Class + Functional components, Hooks).
  • Strong proficiency with modern state management tools (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, Jotai, MobX, etc.).
  • Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, responsive layout techniques, and component‑driven architecture.
  • Comfortable with Node.js for server‑rendered experiences or full‑stack collaboration.
  • Experience building pixel‑perfect, visually polished interfaces and working closely with Product & Design teams.
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
  • Thrives in a remote‑first, high‑ownership environment with rapid iteration cycles.
  • Experience with large‑scale SaaS, 24/7 cloud environments, or high‑traffic applications is a strong plus.

Nice to Have (Non‑mandatory)

  • Familiarity with web3 concepts (wallets, digital signatures, decentralized identity, smart‑contract‑driven flows).
  • Interest in cryptography, token‑based authentication, or blockchain data models.
  • Curiosity about the intersection of emerging technologies and regulated financial systems.
