Role Summary
This position will provide the financial reporting functions of asset management for the Town of Port Hedland. The role requires working across multiple departments to satisfy the Town's reporting and record‑keeping requirements and is responsible for accurate and timely processing of asset management and other technical and reporting tasks associated with this function.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurate and timely processing of asset management and other technical reporting tasks.
- Collaborate across departments to meet reporting requirements.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with relevant standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Prior experience in a similar finance or asset‑management role.
- Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capability to liaise and build networks with stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and capability to deliver on deadlines.
- Proven use of Microsoft Office and computerised financial information systems.
- Aptitude for accuracy and attention to detail.
Preferred Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business or Commerce and membership or ability to gain membership of a recognised professional body of accountants (CA or CPA).
- National Police Clearance.
- Current ‘C’ class driver’s licence.
- Right to work in Australia.
Work‑Related Requirements
The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre‑employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment.
