Sourcing Manager – Packaging & Indirect

We’re looking for a Sourcing Manager – Packaging & Indirect to join our Engineering & Automation team at our Sydney Fulfilment Centre (Wetherill Park, NSW 2164). In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the strategic sourcing of packaging and indirect goods & services, ensuring cost optimisation, supplier performance, sustainability outcomes, and operational continuity across the business.

What you’ll do

• Lead strategic sourcing and procurement of packaging and indirect goods to support operational needs and cost efficiency.
• Manage the full contract lifecycle, including supplier negotiations, commercial agreements, and renewals.
• Run sourcing events (RFPs/RFQs) and tenders to optimise cost, service, and risk.
• Manage key supplier relationships, including performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Planning teams to drive value across the supply chain.
• Oversee ordering strategies considering MOQ, lead times, forecasts, usage, and wastage data.
• Support sustainability initiatives, including progress toward Marley Spoon’s plastic‑free‑by‑2030 goal.
• Resolve supply, quality, and invoice issues to ensure uninterrupted operations.

What you’ll bring

• 4–6 years’ experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally in packaging or a related category.
• Strong negotiation, commercial, and supplier management skills.
• Confidence working with data, ERP systems, and reporting tools.
• A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with high integrity.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders in a fast‑paced environment.
