About the Role

As a casual Night Manager, you’ll be the key point of contact for our guests during the overnight hours. You’ll deliver exceptional service, oversee front office operations, manage room preparation, and maintain security and profitability. In the absence of the Hotel Manager, you’ll lead hotel operations with focus on guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Manager of the hotel overnight, overseeing all operations in absence of senior management.
• Deliver exceptional guest service by anticipating and responding promptly to guest needs and requests.
• Manage check‑in and check‑out processes efficiently and in line with hotel procedures.
• Accurately process guest transactions, accounts, and ensure all revenue postings are correct.
• Complete the night audit process thoroughly, maintaining compliance with accounting and cashiering policies.
• Monitor hotel security overnight, ensuring guest safety and adherence to established procedures.
• Supervise and support the Night Team, maintaining clear communication and high service standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure rooms are prepared and guest requests are fulfilled.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints with urgency, care, and professionalism.
• Confidently use hotel systems to manage bookings, payments, and reporting.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in front office or as a night manager within a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process guest transactions and complete nightly audit reports.
• Confident using hotel systems for reservations, payments, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills, with a guest‑first approach.
• Knowledge of hotel policies, WH&S standards, and cashiering procedures.
• Ability to work independently overnight while supporting other departments as needed.
