Overview:
•Support & co-ordinate the creation and maintenance of master data within the Supply chain module (SCM) function of SAP.
•Detailed understanding of SAP master data requirements and operation processes to support and enhance site master data requirements.
•Ensure data accuracy and report integrity in all areas of responsibility.
•Act as an advisor on SAP master data topics, ensuring that all activities follow the correct processes and procedures in a maximised and efficient way in accordance with appropriate internal and external guidelines.
•Develop proactive relationships with key stakeholders, (internally & externally) and perform all activities in accordance with cGMP requirements, safety standards and site Standard Operating Procedures.
•Support compliance and continuous improvement activities.

Data Specialist Role
•Master data management (both inline & new product) ensuring data creation & changes within in ISO / ECM systems for all controlled SAP master data fields, associated with BOM/Recipe updates, Artwork, & MBRs.
•Liaise directly with internal site departments & external (SAP regional & global ISO) groups. Influencing & interacting with other site data groups is a key skill set.
•Manage master data in accordance to global procedures with input from the global/regional ISO teams ensureing that global master data is maintained across the company.
•Maintain accuracy & changes to master data within the approved ECM & APPIAN change control systems.
•Project management of an end 2 end data workstream stream to meet IPT target dates. External focus on incoming data changes from global/regional ISO support.
•Ensure all BOM & Master recipe changes are performed in accordance with appropriate change instructions & align to expected due dates of the IPTs
•Co-ordinate with other MSD Manufacturing Division sites (Quality Operations and Packaging); Human Health (Regulatory, Marketing and Legal); Subsidiary companies to ensure that artworks are obtained in a timely manner.
•Liaison with suppliers to obtain printers’ proofs in the agreed lead times
•Co-ordinate within MSD Cramlington the internal approval of printers’ proofs as well as attaining the appropriate market’s Regulatory / QO approval
•Support the electronic artwork systems
•Process master formula change requests & update & issue approved MBR’s for use in MES

Qualifications

•At least 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
•Experience in SAP and/or MES systems and transactions.
•Good written and spoken communication skills and ability to interact with cross-functional teams.
•Ability to form good working relationships with other functional groups.
•Attention to detail and well-organised approach to working.
•Awareness of the company’s relevant policies and guidelines and overall knowledge of the site’s cross-functional procedures.
•Degree/HNC in Chemistry, Pharmacy or other scientific statistical discipline is preferred.
