Global Manager-Supply Chain Design & Analytics

The Manager of Supply Chain Design / Analytics will develop and manage a team responsible for  driving  information, analysis and programs that improve the supply chain performance, communication and velocity.   This role will evaluate and push for ways to make the supply chain faster, more efficient and more responsive to Tennant Company’s changing customer needs so that the right part is at the right place at the right time.  This managerial role will work to invent the supply chain of the future and solve operational challenges to improve performance and create a sustainable competitive advantage for Tennant.  This role will be the technology leader and champion for the Global Strategic Supply team.




  • Create a vision and roadmap including timing, resource  and capital requirements for developing the Tennant Company Global Supply Chain System design, analytics and solutions
  • Design, develop and deploy a global supply chain mapping  that provides information and illustration of the entire supply chain / value stream utilizing existing and/or add-on software/systems including SAP This system will include but not be limited to material flow, customs compliance, transportation, warehousing and regulatory requirements, costs and restrictions. 
  • Develop and launch a global web or app based, real-time supply chain rating system using SAP and other ancillary data
  • Construct and manage a playbook for the Global Supply Chain System including  training and launch programs as required for implemented systems and tools
  • Develop two-way communications solutions (portal) for 3rd party involvement in Supply Chain development, design and analytics
  • Establish supplier risk monitoring solution and mitigation process for risks including financial, cyber, legal and regulatory.
  • Collaborate with other Operations and Commercial functional groups to capture and resolve “big picture” opportunities and issues where customers, both internal and external, are affected
  • Identify 3rd party solutions for capturing and reporting real-time information related to key supply chain indicators.
  • Establish the role as the “chief system leader” for the Global Strategic Supply team responsible for developing and implmementing ‘Big Data’ systems and solutions that provide key information for supply chain status, performance,  improvement and efficiency.



  • Bachelor level degree in Business with a concentration in Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, Logistics, Material Management, or related field.
  • 7+  years of professional experience in Ops research and statistics, data analysis and modeling
  • Experience with  Supply Chain Optimization, Operations Management, Information Systems and Inventory Management
  • High level skills in MS Excel and PowerPoint, SAP Suites ( BI, BO, Lumira, BeX Analyzer) or other related software systems
  • E2E business experience
  • Experience with software/system development and management
