About the role:

The Operational Quality Assurance (OQA) Manager sets vision and strategy for OQA and translates this in operational actions, in line with the overall quality strategy and policy.

He/she defines the plan for Built-in Quality (BiQ) maturity growth and ensures everything is in place so that products leave BT in a perfect Quality condition, Right first time.

He/She will drive and support the successful roll out, implementation, stabilization and improvement of Q6.

Has personnel and disciplinary responsibility.

Manage through the start up phase:

 ensuring customer specifications are available and relevant tools are in place,

 managing the Inspection and Test/Control Plan,

 support the start up phase to ensure run @ rate is achieved,

 internal first article inspections on manufactured product.

Manage through the build phase:

 ensuring that all Inspections and Tests are performed by qualified personnel using established, verifiable processes and procedures.

 conducting level 1 corrective source inspection in response to ANDON or business concern,

 monitoring of special processes via audits (welding, bonding, crimping, … etc.)

 conducting routine White Rooms

 conducting of Pre-shipment Acceptance Inspection

 support the Project Quality Manager’s in the product sale process

 coach and mentoring assembly personnel to ensure quality standards are achieved,

 drive and support quality improvements utlising the standard quality KPI’s.

 feed forward/feedback issues using the Q6 elements.

Manage Quality Records which includes:

 recording of open items lists between operations activities and /or non-conforming products

 reviewing build records, Car History Books, Test Specifications, Modification Status and configuration data which all forms as the product history documentation.

Control of product non-conformities

 Control of non-conforming manufactured and / or purchased Products focusing on reduction targets linked to Operations related NCC (BT rework, Supplier/BT liable rejects)

Responsible for management of budget and people development.

Qualifications

Typically 3 – 5 years experience in a relevant role.

• Very good knowledge and experience about quality standards and quality checks

• Very good knowledge of our products and their acceptance criteria

• Very good knowledge and experience about Q6 standards and elements, especially feedback / feed forward processes, quality gates, problem solving methods (8D, ...)

• Drive and conduct of problem solving processes using structured problem solving methods

• Close collaboration with methods, the manufacturing area and the continuous improvement area

• Knowledge of PDCA, Lean, BOS

• Participation in BOS assessment, Knowledge of BES
