Security Assessment & Authorisation Consultant (Junior - Mid roles available)

About the Role
Our Global IT Consulting client is seeking several Security Assessment and Authorisation (A&A) Consultants. This is a permanent opportunity located at our client’s Canberra office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security risk assessments and facilitate risk workshops.
- Execute system security authorisation processes in line with ISM and RMF.
- Prepare and maintain accreditation documentation and compliance records.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and incident response plans.
- Liaise with Authorising Officers, system owners, and project teams.
- Support GRC tooling setup and continuous monitoring activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field.
- Strong understanding of PSPF, ISM, NIST guidelines, and Essential Eight.
- Experience with security documentation and accreditation packages.
- Excellent documentation, organisational, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with GRC platforms and collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence).
Desirable
- Certifications such as CISM, CRISC, CISSP, or IRAP Assessor.
- Experience in Australian Government security compliance frameworks.
Due to security clearance requirements for this role, candidates must be Australian citizens with current Baseline clearance and willingness to upgrade to NV1.
