Job Title: CVOR Surgical Technologist
Location: Prescott, AZ
Start Date: 12/02/2025
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Responsibilities:

  • Scrub for complex cardiovascular cases including CABG, aortic/mitral valve procedures, and TAVR in a 6-OR suite with 1 hybrid room
  • Prepare and manage sterile field, instruments, and supplies for 20-30 daily cases (1-2 open heart or up to 4 TAVR)
  • Assist surgical team with patient positioning, draping, and intraoperative support
  • Maintain accurate instrument counts and adhere to aseptic technique throughout procedures
  • Collaborate with CV surgeons, anesthesia, and circulating RNs in fast-paced environment
  • Rotate between Main and West Campus as needed
  • Respond to emergency add-on cases during call periods

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of open heart CVOR experience REQUIRED
  • Proficiency in cardiac surgical procedures and instrumentation
  • Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and surgical techniques
  • Ability to work efficiently in high-acuity surgical environment
  • Flexibility to work on-call and respond within 30 minutes

Licenses & Certifications:

  • Current BLS certification required
  • Surgical Technologist certification preferred
  • Arizona state licensure as required
