Job Title: Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) – ICU/CVICU/PCU
Location: Prescott, AZ
Start Date: December 2, 2025
Duration: 13 Weeks

Responsibilities:

• Deliver safe, high-quality patient care across the Critical Care service line (ICU, CVICU, COVID, and PCU units).
• Assess, plan, and implement individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Manage critically ill patients with diagnoses such as COVID, DKA, sepsis, ARF, post-MI, post-surgical cardiac cases, and neuro conditions.
• Administer and titrate critical care drips including but not limited to vasopressors (Levophed), paralytics, sedatives (Propofol), antiarrhythmics, dopamine, heparin, and argatroban.
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, ABGs, and telemetry independently.
• Care for patients on advanced devices such as Impella, IABP, CRRT (Prismaflex), VADs, and post-cardiac surgery cases.
• Provide ventilator management, including troubleshooting and weaning.
• Participate in rapid response and code blue situations as needed.
• Float between ICU, CVICU, PCU, and MST per facility needs and staffing rotations.
• Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR system.
• Ensure compliance with all hospital policies, including infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care nursing experience required; strong EKG interpretation and critical thinking skills essential.
• Prior experience with IABP and CRRT (Prismaflex) highly preferred.
• Must pass dysrhythmia exam (80% or higher) within two attempts before signing the contract.
• Ability to manage high-acuity patients and adapt to multiple critical care environments.
• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.

Licenses and Certifications:

• Active and unrestricted RN license (AZ or compact state).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) – AHA.
