Reliant Home Services are growth businesses within NRG Retail that provide protection plan products as well as retail home services to consumers and small businesses. 

 

The Segment Manager will be a critical member of the growth team, with primary responsibility for growing our business through a diverse range of assignments, projects, and activities aimed at improving the Services and Protection Plan business.

 

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Working for, and in conjunction with, the Business Director, Allied Warranty/Reliant Home Services.
  • Optimizing channels and products for our protection plan and HVAC businesses.
  • Analyze complex financial models to generate pricing recommendations.
  • Develop seasonal marketing plans that optimize product and pricing.
  • Work closely with counterparts in marketing, operations, call center, field technicians, business strategy, and sales. 
  • Strive to grow Services and Protection Plans to meet established revenue and EBITDA targets.
  • Identify other revenue generation opportunities that capitalize on the company’s Services capabilities.
  • Undertake all reporting activities, including planning, tracking and supporting campaigns, encouraging business development and providing a resource and support network within the organization.
  • Prepare both internal and customer presentations.
  • Be comfortable interacting with colleagues, customers and vendors.

 

Education:  Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.  MBA is preferred.

 

Experience:  3+ years’ work experience required. Business Development, Sales, Engineering, Consulting, or Strategy work preferred

  • High integrity, energy and enthusiasm.
  • Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding performance goals and responsibilities
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct financial modeling, competitor assessments and data-driven analysis.
  • Some knowledge of warranty and/or HVAC businesses, with natural curiosity to acquire additional knowledge continuously.
  • Ability to develop business plans under various scenarios.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility to work in fast-paced, environment with "hands-on" team player approach.
  • Strong internal networking and cross-functional instincts. Ability to coordinate with others from across the organization and outside of formal lines of authority.
  • Results oriented, with ability to work with minimum supervision to coordinate cross-functionally and to deliver on tasks/projects.
  • Able to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization in verbal and written form.
  • Superior written and verbal presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

 

Physical Requirements:·Occasionally requires lifting as appropriate to perform duties and responsibilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Open office environment.
  • Overnight Travel and occasional extended hours required as special projects arise.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation required.
