Group 99—Integrated Systems and Concepts
The Integrated Systems and Concepts Group specializes in the rapid development and demonstration of innovative optical system solutions to address difficult challenges facing the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, NASA, and other U.S. government entities. The group maintains broad expertise in electro-optical and infrared sensors, charge-coupled devices, focal plane arrays, ground/air/space electronics, image processing, video exploitation, and low–size/weight/power optical communications systems. The group leverages this core expertise to architect, prototype, build, and deploy hardware and software systems in support of mission needs. Emphasis is on working closely with end users to develop enabling concepts and then building and fielding integrated systems on responsive timelines. The group seeks self-motivated engineers and scientists with multidisciplinary skill sets and a passion for conceptualizing, designing, and building systems that address critical national needs.

Group 99 is seeking to fill a part-time administrative support position 3 full time days per week (Wednesday through Friday).  The person will support the Group Administrative Assistant in answering phones, arranging travel and processing expense vouchers, transmitting and receiving messages via-e-mail, maintaining electronic calendars, coordinating meetings, escorting visitors, processing a variety of Laboratory forms, maintaining supplies, typing memoranda. A good working knowledge of PC operation and Microsoft Office suite is required. Experience with SAP system to enter and track shopping carts, work orders, and weekly timesheets and staff vacation sheets desired. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. Must be able to work independently, as well as effectively in a team environment, set priorities, and handle multiple tasks.

 

Requirements:   High School graduate, Associates degree for above preferred

Minimum of 2.5 years secretarial experience.   Post high school education will count toward experience.

Should have excellent administrative skills, pay attention to detalil, well-organized and able to prioritize mutiple complex tasks.

Proficiency in MS Word and Excel required, expertise in MS Access and PowerPoint a plus.
