Job Details:

• Work 36/36 or 36/48 schedule with rotating weekends
• No call responsibilities
• Floating required between units
• Must be Med/Surg & PCU competent
• Patient ratio of 1:5 for days, nights, and weekends
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• Must have 1 year of nursing experience
• Accepts first-time travelers
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIH
• Must use Epic charting system
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Skills include CVA care, isolation precautions, Med/Surg, oxygen administration, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, wound care/wound vac
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• 24 hours of orientation including 16 hours of non-billable orientation
• Complete online CBLs during Sunday orientation
• Must live 100 miles from facility
• Drug test must be completed 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for fit testing per CDC guidelines
• Complete non-billable modules averaging 4-5 hours during orientation

Facility:

This medical center operates a 35-bed Progressive Care Unit with a daily census of 33 patients. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary services. The organization is committed to nursing education and expects staff to actively participate in clinical student education and mentoring future nurses.
