PRIMARY PURPOSE

The Compliance Program Consultant is responsible for tracking and documenting processes related to Parkland’s Code of Conduct and Ethics and Compliance and Ethics Program (the “Compliance Program”) and Privacy Program policies, procedures and guidelines. This position plays an active role in supporting the ongoing development, maintenance, review and assessment of the Compliance Program.

 MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS

Education:

-Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration or related field.

Experience:

-Must have three years of relevant professional experience in a healthcare related compliance and/or legal field.

Equivalent Education and/or Experience:

-May have an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in lieu of specific education and/or experience as stated above.

Certification/Registration/Licensure:

-Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) is required upon hire or obtained within 24 months of placement in job. Current incumbents must obtain certification within 2 years or by July 4, 2020.

Skills or Special Abilities:

 -Must have general knowledge of a broad spectrum of healthcare laws and regulations.

 -Must have experience with the use of electronic databases/systems and review/analysis of related data.

 -Must have excellent organizational, planning, and follow-up skills. Ability to drive initiatives to completion with minimal supervision.

 -Must demonstrate strong written and oral communications skills that are effective at all levels. Must be able to distill and analyze information in a manner that facilitates effective communication.

-Must be able to garner the trust of others by providing practical, sound, accurate and timely support.

 -Must be capable of demonstrating problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify a problem, determine the root cause, communicate findings and participate in the development of the solution.

-Must demonstrate advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel and Word applications.
