Position Description:

  • Responsible for the coordination of all Radiation Protection / Chemistry accredited training activities/programs by providing radiation protection / chemistry oversight/assessments and technical guidance
  • Coordinate with Radiation Protection / Chemistry to implement and maintain accredited training programs to meet regulatory requirements
  • Develops training materials and conducts training
  • Assist adjunct instructors in the development of lesson material
  • Monitor TSD and accreditation renewal
  • Manage training intranet and VISION database
  • Assist line management in oversight of OJT/OJE activities for qualifications
  • Perform self -assessments, benchmarking, and observations to identify strengths and weaknesses
  • Partner with Radiation Protection / Chemistry line management to manage, govern and monitor the training programs
  • Assist in providing Access Training for Site
  • Support refueling outages as assigned

 

Education and Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (ANSI/ANS 3.1-1981)
  • 5 years' experience in Radiation Protection / Chemistry and/or training at a commercial nuclear power plant, naval nuclear propulsion plant or another similar industry and have knowledge commensurate with the position being sought (RP or Chemistry)
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Must meet Nuclear’s requirements for unescorted plant access

 

Desired:

  • BS Degree
  •  Prior classroom experience
