Mechanical Design Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer for a contract position with our client located in Durham, NC. Looking to kickstart your engineering career? We have an exciting contract opportunity for an entry-level Mechanical Design Engineer to join a dynamic team working on innovative solutions in the veterinary medicine device space.

Salary Range: $30.00/hour to $36.00/hour. The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Manufacturing Engineer job responsibilities include:

· Develop and revise complex 3D models, assemblies, and drawings.

· Manage engineering changes and Bills of Materials in PLM systems.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams and adhere to industry standards (ASME, ANSI, IEC, IPC).

Desired Qualifications:

· AAS/AS/BS in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

· 0–4 years of engineering experience, ideally in automated machinery design.

· Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.

· Familiarity with fabrication techniques, GD&T, and PLM systems.
