Hello - Rural Physicians Group is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our group for short team help and fill the schedule for an Emergency Department Hybrid position in Cambridge, Nebraska.(OPEN DATES: August 17th-27th, September 11th-21st, October 11th-21st, November 21st-December 1st, December 11th-21st, and January 11th-21st (2026)). Location: Tri Valley Health System - Cambridge, Nebraska 

  • Rural town with farming areas, along with some industrial areas. 
  • 2 hours from Grand Island Airport and 30 minutes from McCook Airport (daily flights to Denver)
  • Community size: The primary catchment is 5 small all about 1000 people or less. Secondary catchment are many communities involving town of 7000 plus.
Start Date: August 2025 Credentialing: 60 daysSchedule: 7-10, 24-hour shifts/monthCall: 24/7 call coverageDetails: Critical Access Hospital
  • ICU Beds: None that are dedicated - There are two monitored rooms.
  • Acute Beds: 16 (includes 2 LDRP rooms)
  • Swing Beds: Shared with acute 
  • SNF Beds: N/A 
  • Swing Beds: 12
  • Average Daily Census: 3.2 
  • Average Monthly Discharges: 1
  • Avg LOS: 2.8 acute, 13 swing

  • Minimum 2 years of experience practicing autonomously
  • Ability to perform all procedures
