As a leader in the aerospace industry, we are growing rapidly and have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Facility Supervisor in our Refrigeration Products business located in Anaheim, CA.

 

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will supervise the installation, maintenance, alterations, servicing and repair of all equipment, the building and grounds necessary for the continuity of manufacturing operations and the safety of plant employees.  

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Performs maintenance or service functions within established timing, quality, and cost standards; assists in the preparation of designs and specifications and estimating of costs for internal or contracted renovations, modifications, expansions, or installation of plant facilities and utilities.
  • Supervises work activities to ensure that service functions or tasks meet or exceed all established quality requirement; oversees maintenance personnel and workers engaged in moving furniture and equipment.
  • Determines job priorities based on established schedules and may make daily assignments.
  • Inspects construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established specifications; interprets specifications and makes judgments about the acceptability of work that is in progress.
  • Troubleshoots breakdown repairs and skilled fabrications; exercises judgment in establishing job priorities for breakdown repairs.
  • Implements departmental safety programs to ensure the safety of employees working in the area.
  • Assures the implementation of preventive maintenance and service programs, procedures, and record systems.
  • Maintains program for efficient production and use of power, water, and gas; provides instructions and procedures to ensure the program's continued usefulness.
  • Assures compliance with federal, state, and local insurance ordinances, regulations, and codes.
  • Performs other related duties as required.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; and two-to-five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of facility operations, including maintenance schedules, machine preventative maintenance programs, and chemical safety programs. 
  • Understanding and experience with plumbing and electrical repairs and upgrades.  
  • Ability to work with outside contractors and vendors.  

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MicroSoft Suite of programs
  • Ability to interface and work cooperatively with various levels of company employees.  
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities.
