Telemetry RN Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1750 - $1870
  
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel nursing contract)
  
• Location: Olathe, KS 66061 (Kansas healthcare jobs)
  
• Unit: Telemetry/Cardiac Unit (4East Cardiac)
  
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
  
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week (36 hours/week)
  
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend required
  
• Start Dates: 11/17/2025 or 12/1/2025
  
• Holiday Coverage: Must work one day from each major holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
  
• Floating: May float to all acute care units as needed
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Kansas Registered Nurse (RN) license
  
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred)
  
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry RN experience in a hospital setting
  
• Proficiency with TR Bands post-procedure, cardiac drips (Heparin, Butamax, Lasix, Cardizem), and Tikosyn/Sotalol initiation
  
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
  
• Ability to attend required orientation and ongoing training sessions
  
• Nicotine-free workplace compliance required
  

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Telemetry/Cardiac unit
  
• Monitor, interpret, and document cardiac rhythms; respond promptly to changes in patient condition
  
• Administer medications, including cardiac drips, and manage post-procedure TR Bands
  
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
  
• Float to other acute care units as needed to support patient care
  
• Accurately document all care provided in the EPIC EMR system
  
• Participate in orientation and required ongoing training for travel nurses
  
• Maintain compliance with all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards
