Weare looking for a PTSD Registered Nurse to join our team! GardenPark Medical Center's STAR (Stress, Trauma, Addiction, Recovery) program is theonly one of its kind in the Mississippi Bay area. Our nine-bed unit provides 24-hour care andtreatment for active-duty military, veterans, first responders and their dependentswith PTSD and addiction. Ourboard-certified clinical psychiatrist and psychiatric nurse practitioner both havemilitary experience and specialized training in working with solders, veteransand first responders. Roles &Responsibilities: The PTSD Registered Nurse holds shift accountability toprovide direct patient care by utilization of the nursing process in accordancewith the established policies and procedures of Garden Park Medical Center,maintains clinical competencies through continuing education, and delegatespatient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience ofavailable staff. * Sign-on bonuses arebased on qualifying criteria – Current Employees not eligible - Please ask yourrecruiter for details. EDUCATION – Graduatefrom an accredited professional nurse program. EXPERIENCE: At least 6months nursing experience strongly preferred. Military, trauma, and psychiatricexperience preferred CERTIFICATE/LICENSE –Current MS or compact state RN license/permit; BCLS certification, CPIcertification within 30 days. PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Must beable to climb, kneel, stoop and perform assigned duties under semi-stressfulsituations. Physical demands require performing heavy cleaning projects withshort notice. Visual acuity is required in order to ensure that work is beingdone correctly. Work is moderately heavy with frequent lifting and carrying ofobjects weighting up to 25 pounds. Work also involves considerable walking,standing, pushing and pulling of equipment and frequent lifting of patients.
