Position Description:The primary focus of the Operations Production Tech would be to support the Forming manufacturing processes, activities and drive process control and improve operational excellence in the areas of the Wet Batch towers, Extrusion, Drying, Saws, Forming control and Part Mark Barcode. This position will assist the Rotation Leaders and Process Line Technicians in the daily operations. This position will provide the shift with a critical link to the Forming Operations team, the Technical team, Maintenance team, Finishing Operations team and Quality team. This Position will rotate shifts.Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Enabling the Rotation shift to meet Green End and Part Mark Barcode performance to key metrics.

• Participate with RL’s with safety incidents and employee feedback

• Compile shift/production reports

• Select and OEE Performance

• Downtime reconciliation

• OEE run Distribution

• Safety and Housekeeping objectives, 5S compliance.

• Job Change Effectiveness

• Process Control/Process Discipline Strategy – SOS, SOP across the plant

• Compliance to Quality specification and limit Samples

• Compliance to work rules

• Provide information for Pre Run and Post Run Reviews with Line technicians, Die manager and Engineers.

• Employee Training and Certification

• Participate with, and support all engineering activities directly effecting manufacturing improvements

Within Group: You will be working in a fast paced manufacturing environment.

Travel Requirements: You can expect less than 10% travel.

Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time: You will work on a rotating shift schedule. 3 days on, 3 days off, rotating between day and night shift.

Required Education and Experience:

You should have a HS diploma with about 2 years of extrusion experience and:

• Knowledge of the Forming Process Areas of WBT, Extrusion, Drying, Saws, Forming Control, Product Specs, Part Mark, and Barcode.• Ability to effectively coordinate, organize work and resources to achieve results.• Computer and data collection skills. Uses data and systematic approach to solve problems and make decisions.• Flexibility and the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.• Certification in Forming Process Areas. High Wants:• Strong Forming knowledge• Strong saw operations skills• Part Mark Barcode knowledge• Mechanical and Process aptitude• Ability to multi-task• Good attitude and interpersonal skillsDesired skills:
