Job Title: Data Privacy Leader

Roles and Responsibilities

• Lead & support the implementation of the firm’s GDPR, CCPA or other Global Privacy risk management and compliance framework, policies, procedures, and governance operating model by providing subject matter expertise, knowledge of financial services and strong program management skills.
• Partner with business and technology units to drive the remediation of design and impact to policies and procedures, monitoring and reporting on privacy and data protection issues.
• Facilitate resolution of issues that have been escalated to the program and privacy office, such as operational issues related to data subject right requests.
• Provide advice and support to enable business areas achieve goals and strategies while meeting privacy compliance requirements. Continuously challenge Legal / Data Privacy, Technology and Business teams to focus on “what does it take to make this work”
• Manage the collection of privacy metrics and prepare reporting for the executive office to present to senior management and all lines of business on privacy and data protection issues.
• College Degree and 12+ years of experience in privacy and data protection, including 5+ years of demonstrated leadership experience.
• Strong experience implementing global privacy and data protection programs.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and drive internal and external stakeholders to quick decisions in a collaborative corporate environment.
• Demonstrated ability of applying privacy requirements to practical use cases beyond policy formulation and compliance.
• Demonstrated track record of influencing senior management on privacy and data protection matters.
• Demonstrated strong program management skills, including ability to lead multiple work streams in a resource-constrained environment.
• Working experience with risk and security compliance frameworks (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC2, SOC3, HIPAA, COBIT, NIST/DoD, HITECH, FFIEC, TÜV cloud security).
