Sensational Steps provides quality, individualized 1:1 OT and speech therapy at our Spring Lake office. We opened a second location in Kentwood providing OT and feeding therapy. We also work with several schools in the Grand rapids area. We are small by design so our clinicians can truly connect with families—and with each other.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for a licensed Occupational Therapist with strong pediatric experience, as this position will require a very independent and confident OT. We’re hiring for fit and heart, not just years of experience.

Candidates with advanced trainings and certifications in various areas of pediatrics are preferred. At Sensational Steps, we support the DIRFloortime approach and specialize in sensory integration, feeding, listening therapy, and handwriting. The DIR model is truly at the heart of our practice and it is vital that our therapists feel comfortable having a caregiver participate in therapy and also offering parent education to support carryover. We would like for our therapist to have experience in a couple of these areas, but we are also excited to add therapists that have additional interests and specializations!
Job Requirements
- NBCOT Certification
- Pediatric experience
- Must have driver's license and be willing to travel between local schools (minimally)
- Afterschool availability each workday
- Preference: Two years of experience as an OTR, but accepting <2 years with strong fieldwork and pediatric experiences
