Position Overview
At OSUWMC, we are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based care. We seek to hire faculty to help build our psychosis program. The successful candidate will work within our interdisciplinary EPICENTER team in the care of patients with and at-risk for psychotic and related disorders in the Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Health. The psychologist directs or provides care in a manner consistent with the privileges granted them by the governing body of University Hospitals and as approved by the University Board of Trustees.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide clinical evaluation and assessment of patients with psychosis and related disorders.
- Deliver individual cognitive behavioral therapy, metacognitive remediation therapy, family education and support, and community education.
- Represent the program or Department by participating in committees, conferences, and professional meetings.
- Maintain adherence to established Medical Center policies, procedures, protocols, and key results areas.
Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in Psychology.
- Licensed or license-eligible in the state of Ohio.
- Applicants must be from an APA- or CPA-accredited clinical or counseling psychology doctoral program with an accredited clinical internship.
- At least one year of relevant post‑doctoral experience and must be licensed in Ohio by the time of appointment.
- Competent in technical clinical skills with cognitive and interpersonal skills required for psychosis services.
- Previous training or experience working with patients with psychotic disorders will be given preference.
