As an RN in this department, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send‑off, providing professional nursing care to a specified group of patients in ambulatory care settings. Schedule and Hours
A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with an additional time of 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Hours will vary based on facility needs. Evening/weekend rotations may be included.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
- Assess health status, complete nursing assessments, perform telephone triage, and establish care plans.
- Administer medication and treatments.
- Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
- Notify the physician and/or Licensed Independent Provider (LIP) of abnormal findings.
- Assist with specialized diagnostic procedures, therapeutic procedures, and specialized patient care equipment.
- Develop, evaluate, adapt and document health education and provide it to patients and families.
- Cover other nursing roles within the department.
- Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures, as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- If performing moderate/procedural sedation, must have Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 1 year RN experience. Current Cleveland Clinic Caregiver in ambulatory setting transferring into an RN role will be considered for unlicensed clinical healthcare experience (e.g., LPN, Medical Assistant, Dialysis Technician).
- Current demonstrated clinical competence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- 2–3 years of previous cardiology experience.
Physical Requirements
- Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination.
- Requires corrected hearing and vision to normal range.
- May require exposure to communicable diseases or bodily fluids.
- Light work – exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly.
- Job requires walking or standing to a significant degree, or working at a production rate pace entailing constant pushing and pulling of materials even if the weight is negligible.
Personal Protective Equipment
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.
Pay Range
Minimum hourly: $31.50
Maximum hourly: $49.90
The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after considering factors such as work history, experience, skill set, and education.
